Apply to participate in the first ever women’s online safety hackathon by the Women Techmakers team in Sub-saharan Africa.

The Women’s Safety Hackathon is a series of community events bringing together women across the globe to apply tech-based solutions to challenges of women’s safety online.

Teams would be formed at the event, giving you the opportunity to interact with other participants and build on exciting varying ideas.

Venue: Lagos, Nigeria
Exact location would be communicated via mail to shortlisted participants.
Selection Criteria:

– Technical knowledge

– Minimal to expert experience in the women online safety domain

– Willingness to participate physically in hackathon activities.

Preliminary Agenda:

8:00am – 9:00am: Registration + Breakfast

9:00am – 10:20am : Opening remarks and lightning talks

10:20am – 10:35am : Team formation

10:35am – 4:00pm: Ideathon/Hackathon + Lunch breaks

4:00pm – 6:00pm : Solution presentation + Prizes presentation.
