Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Scheme 2023 for Sri Lankan Students
Hec Announcement – The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has announced fully and partially funded scholarships for Sri Lankan students under the “Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Scheme” to promote an effective exchange of knowledge and a better understanding of cultures and traditions between Sri Lankan and Pakistani students.
Areas of Studies/Disciplines
This scholarship offer is open for all disciplines at the BS, MS, and Ph.D. levels in Medicine, Engineering, Basic and Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, including all subjects like Architecture, Fine Arts, Business Education, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Agriculture Sciences, Media &Communication Studies, Languages, etc.
Fully Funded Scholarships & Partially Funded Scholarships:
Fully funded scholarships include tuition fee, maintenance allowances, hostel charges, and book allowances whereas partially funded scholarships include tuition fee only. Additional costs besides the tuition fee will be met by the student.
How To Apply- Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Scheme 2023 for Sri Lankan Students
Applicants are required to submit online applications through the HEC website:https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/paksl
• All registered candidates must appear in the scholarship test organized by HEC in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission at Colombo and the Government of Sri Lanka.
• In the case of the provision of false information / any misinformation/misrepresentation, HEC reserves the right to terminate scholarship at any stage. 1=31
• The last date for submission of online application is 10th April, 2023.
• Application in hard form will not be entertained.
• Scholarships will be awarded on merit.
• On the closing date of admission, the age limit for undergraduates shall not be more than 23 years and for post-graduates, 35 years for non-Faculty members, and 40 years for Faculty members.
• Candidate will be short-listed based on Aptitude test scores (conducted by HEC) and academic credential scores.
• Medium of Instruction will be English.
• The candidate will be required to return and serve Sri Lanka after the completion of education in Pakistan.
• Student who is already availing / availed HEC Allama Muhammad Iqbal scholarship is not eligible to apply.
• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of information provided by the applicant.
• In the case of partially funded scholarships, only tuition fee will be paid to the university and the rest of the expenditure will be met by Sri Lankan students.
The last date for submission of online application is April 10, 2023. Application in hard form will not be entertained.
