Apply – NPC e-Recruitment Portal 2023 Census for Nigerians
To ensure a smooth execution of the April 2023 Population and Housing Census, the National Population Commission (NPC) has launched the E-recruitment Portal.
Alhaji. Nasir Isa-Kwarra, Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), stated on Monday in Abuja at the commission’s headquarters that the vast majority of staff for the 2023 Census would be selected from the communities where they are now based.
The massive logistics involved in relocating employees across the country will be rendered unnecessary as a result of this change. So, “the people will be counted accurately since everyone will have a chance to participate in the census workforce,” he stated.
The “huge challenge of conducting accurate and trustworthy census demands the recruitment of staff that will carry out the activity,” he insisted, was a necessity.
He explained that the development of the e-recruitment portal was motivated by the need to train the officers who would oversee the census recruiting process and was the result of the commission’s dedication to fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.
I am pleased to tell Nigerians that the Commission will be seeking applications for the following types of field employees through its online recruiting procedure in order to carry out the upcoming Census: Trainers, Admins, M&E Officers, DQ Managers, DQ Assts, SMs, SNs, and ENS.
He said, “The total number of Enumeration Areas (EA) in each State will be the primary factor in determining the total number of vacancies to be filled in each State.”
The Director General (DG) of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari, has assured of the agency’s help to ensure a legitimate 2023 census, noting that Nigeria is a large country with a great population and for everyone to be counted requires large people resources.
The Postmaster General, Sunday Adeyemi Adepoju, expressed confidence in the NPC’s ability to hold a legitimate election in 2023, noting that “adequate planning precludes poor performance.”
The Census Manager, Inuwa jalingo, gave a presentation outlining the e-recruitment platform, during which he revealed that over 25 million Nigerians would need to apply as ad hoc personnel in order to provide proper coverage of every citizen.
Key players from the NOA, NIPOST, INEC, NIMC, NYSC Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, and the NBS were decorated as Ambassadors of the 2023 census, joining Governors and President Muhammadu Buhari who had already received such honors.
