Arts In Medicine Fellowship Program 2020/2021 for Young Africans
Applications are now open for Arts in Medicine Fellowship Program 2020. Arts in medicine fellowship exists to bridge a gap between arts and healthcare system. It is intent on educating, training, informing and driving the next crop of creative minds towards effecting practical, unique and holistic changes in the healthcare systems across Africa.
The fellowship offers for fellows; educational and professional development, and international exchange programmes to give a global, enriching experience with the world’s leading experts in the field of arts and medicine.
Fellowship Structure
7 weeks of virtual training sessions and 6 weeks of internship, community engagement and report writing. View our evidence-based curriculum here.
Virtual sessions will hold for 2 hours, every Sunday for 7 weeks. All sessions will be facilitated by professionals in arts and health and accompanied by practical sessions.
Requirements
Arts in medicine fellowship is open to –
- Professional Artists, Musicians, Writers, Poets, Dramatists, Dancers, Videographers, Photographers, and all creatives.
- Medical professionals (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, etc.), Administrators, Researchers, Educators and Mental Health and Wellness advocates.
- Students in tertiary institutions across Africa
- Applicants should understand and speak English language as the fellowship lectures will be delivered in English.
Application process
All successful candidates will be contacted via emails on the 5th of November 2020.
Successful candidates are to pay an acceptance fee as stated below:
International participants: $20 for professionals
$15 for students
Local participants (Nigerians): 7000 Naira for professionals
5000 Naira for students
Payment details will be contained in the email that will be sent to successful applicants. Payment will secure your space on the fellowship and it should be made on or before November 13, 2020.
