Become a SmartStart South Africa Practitioner
SmartStart recruits, trains and licence (predominantly) women to start and operate their own early learning micro-enterprise. This enables the Early Learning practitioner to generate an income while caring for young children so their parents can go out and work.
SmartStart operates in all nine provinces through an extensive network of partners known as Franchisors. Their Franchisor network recruits, coaches and support their network of Early Learning practitioners. Their practitioners decide where they run their classes from. This may include community halls, churches, or their homes.
To be considered for the SmartStart’s Early Learning Practitioner programme, you will need to have:
- Passed Grade 9
- a passion for working with and caring for young children
- a nurturing nature and personality
- a willingness to learn and grow
- a desire to start-up and run your own programme
