Biocom California Institute Life Science Young Leaders Fellowship Program 2023
The Biocom California Institute Life Science Young Leaders Fellowship is open to college graduates/senior students who are first-generation or from historically underrepresented groups. The fellowship aims to provide fellows with exposure to the life sciences community and further their relationships and understanding of career options in this growing sector. The fellowship is highly competitive.
A science background is not required. Did you know that a great number of jobs in life sciences companies do not require a science background? There are opportunities in IT, finance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain just to name a few.
Key Components of the Program:
Mentorship
Fellows will have an assigned mentor from the biotechnology or life science field. This mentor will connect their fellow to networking opportunities, provide career feedback, and offer a unique insight into the industry.
Resume & Interview Coaching
Fellows will have their resumes reviewed and will be provided with feedback by life science human resources and talent acquisition specialists. As a part of the program, fellows will also participate in practice interviews with HR industry professionals to help refine their interview skills and highlight their strengths relevant to the life science industry.
Networking & Development Opportunities: Essential Skills for Life Science Professionals Training
Fellows will have the opportunity to meet and connect with employees from various life science companies. They also have free access to attend 1 Biocom California event per month throughout the fellowship program.
Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of your fellowship, you will receive a Biocom California Institute certificate of completion and a designation as a Biocom California Life Science Young Leader Fellow.
