Black And Missing Foundation (BAMFI) and Audiochuck Partner to Support the Next Generation of Mass Communications and Criminal Justice Leaders with a Fellowship and Scholarship Program.

The Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI) and Audiochuck share a mutual passion and commitment to advocacy for those who do not have a voice. For the 2023 Spring and Fall semesters, they are investing in the next generation by offering a paid fellowship and scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in mass communications and criminal justice.

BAMFI / Audiochuck Spring Semester 2023 Fellowship Application (Communications)

In partnership with Audiochuck, the Black and Missing Foundation will offer Spring and Fall 2023 fellowships to undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, majoring in:

  *  Communications
  *  Digital Media
  *  Journalism
  *  Public Relations

To apply for the Spring 2023 fellowship, please send a cover letter, resume, recent transcripts (must include GPA), three writing samples, three educational/professional references, three letters of recommendation, and 60-second video on how you can help bring visibility to BAMFI’s mission to help find missing BIPOC from around the country.

The Spring 2023 fellowship will be awarded to two students, who will participate in an eight-week program, which will run from January 2023 to April 2023. The students will be provided an opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom to visibility of BAMFI’s mission and programs.

Each student will receive a $6,250 stipend for the semester.

Fellows will spend 30 hours a week, for eight weeks, working in BAMFI’s Public Relations department (virtually) to bring visibility to its mission and programs.
Eligibility / Criteria:
Be enrolled as a full-time student (2 or 4 year program) as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average).

BAMFI / Audiochuck Spring Semester 2023 Scholarship Application (Criminal Justice)

In partnership with Audiochuck, the Black and Missing Foundation will offer scholarships for the Spring and Fall 2023 semesters to undergraduate students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, majoring in:

  *  Criminal Justice
To apply for the Spring 2023 scholarship, please send a cover letter, resume, recent transcripts (must include GPA), three writing samples, three educational/professional references, three letters of recommendation, and 60-second video on how you can help bring visibility to BAMFI’s mission to help missing BIPOC from around the country.
The scholarships will be awarded as follows:
  *  Spring of ‘23 (1 – $5,000; 2 – $2,500, 2 – $1,250)
  *  Fall of ’23 (1 – $5,000, 2 – $2,500, 2 – $1,250)
Scholarships may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room and board.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
  * Be enrolled as a full-time student (2 or 4 year program) as an undergraduate at an accredited college or university
  * Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average)
