Blade Nzimande Urge Artisan Graduates to be Ambassadors of TVET Colleges.
The Department of Higher Education and Training, Artisan Graduation Ceremony for Centres of Specialisation took place at Emperors Palace.
Minister Dr Blade Nzimande appreciates all the employers that partnered with TVET Colleges and further said that with partnership we can do more for the country and urged more partners to come on board.
He said Our country needs at least 60% of school leavers to pursue artisanal type training to meet the country’s demand for scarce skills and therefore encourage school leavers to pursue technical trades, as government continues to invest in technical and vocational education.
Our Centres of Specialization have shown the way and let us now work towards mainstreaming all their experiences and successes into the mainstream of our TVET college system.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all the employers who have joined in with us in our CoS in our colleges, including all those employers who work with us to provide workplace exposure and experience for both our TVET college students & lecturers”.
