Botswana To Expect Cold Conditions This Month

The Department of Meteorological Services wishes to advise the public about another spell of cold conditions expected over most parts of the country. Cold, dry air from the Atlantic Ocean will flow into the country resulting in a cold spell over most areas.

The impact of the inflow of cold air will be experienced from Sunday 30 July 2023 until mid-week, 2 August 2023 with maximum temperatures expected to range between 12 and 19 degrees Celsius over the southern parts of the country and between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius over the northern part.

The expected minimum temperatures will range between -2 to 7 degrees Celsius countrywide.

An improvement in both maximum and minimum temperatures is expected to occur from Thursday 03 August 2023.

In view of the imminent weather changes, the public is advised to dress warmly and reducing exposure to the cold conditions.
