Checklist for African Scholarship Applicants

These are the most important checklist that you want to keep in mind as you navigate the scholarship process.

1. Transcript/Statement of results.

2. Certificate, if available (or Notification of result).

3. Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or Medium of instruction letter). In the UK, some Universities accept a credit pass in WAEC.

Instead of other proof of English. GRE (Mostly required by U.S schools).

4. Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume.

5. Published literature(s) (journals) (sometimes optional but it is an added advantage). Portfolio (Sometimes required from those in Architecture and related fields).

6.Two or three recommendation letters from Professors or Associate Professors. One of the letters might come from a Manager at work (if you have professional work experience).

7. International passport. This is a vital document to leave your home country. 8. Faith in God.
