DBE Commences 2022 NSC Exam Marking

The marking of the 2022 NSC exams has begun, as announced by the Department of Basic Education. Over the following three weeks, we’ll be marking everything.

The Basic Education Department has reported that marking for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams of 2022 is going smoothly. As of the 22nd of December in 2022, no further marking will be done.

The 2022 NSC examinations concluded on December 8. As a result of a small number of students needing more time to retake exams, the time allotted for the exams was increased.

All or part of the following NSC exams were retaken by students in the following provinces:

Mpumalanga \sGauteng
Provinces: Eastern Cape, Western Cape, and North West

The country-wide examination period was said to have gone off without a hitch by the Department of Basic Education (DBE). The DBE claims that there were minimal test period infractions.

To paraphrase what Mathanzima Mweli said, “all the markers are tremendously enthusiastic and everyone is looking forward to carrying out this vital assignment with the greatest precision.”

On January 19, 2023, students in Grade 12 who took the NSC in 2022 will find out how they did.
