Eswatini Youth Fund partners UNESWA for Training of Young people on Business Plan
Minister of Sports Harries Bulunga has launched a two-fold partnership between the Youth Fund & UNESWA which will see, among other things, the University training young people on business plan preparation in order to enhance their applications for Youth Fund funding.
The partnership also sees the signing of an MoU between the Youth Fund & UNESWA’s Faculty of Agriculture. The MoU will facilitate knowledge sharing between the institutions & further build pathways for the Faculty’s students to access business startup funding from the Fund.
Minister Bulunga: “This MoU will now make it possible for our two institutions to exchange knowledge & expertise on the field of youth in business & further creates a pathway for these trained young aspiring entrepreneurs to then access funding from the Youth Fund.”
Minister Bulunga: “The training programme, meanwhile, will allow those young people with deferred Youth Fund applications to get the necessary training at the University to polish up their business plans.”
Minister Bulunga: “This is a milestone activity which underlines all the good that we can achieve when our institutions come together for the good of our young people.”
Minister Bulunga: “We will stop at nothing in our quest to making financial support as well as all other forms of support available for our youth to start, grow and maintain successful businesses in Eswatini.”
UNESWA VC Professor Justice Thwala: “We are delighted to collaborate with Government & the Fund in this important initiative aimed at capacitating Eswatini’s youth. UNESWA is a youth oriented institution & is always pleased & enthusiastic to support youth development endeavours.”
YERF CEO Bhekizwe Maziya: “It is our belief as the YERF that education without application to real life situations is not worthwhile. That is why we find it commendable for UNESWA to see the need to collaborate with the Fund.”
Youth Rep. Banele Mahlalela: “Young people don’t have enough information on how to make their business plans viable. We therefore appreciate this opportunity.”
