INVITATION TO APPLY TO PARTICIPATE IN GAUTENG FARM YARD RETAIL TRAINING INCUBATION AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
The Farm Yard in Partnership with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental (GDARDE) invites qualifying applicants to submit their application to participate in the Farm Yard Retail Training, Incubation and Mentorship Programme for 2023/24 Financial Year.

Township, Informal Settlement and Hostels

Community Gardeners, Hawkers and Informal traders of agricultural products.

16 Participants
Purpose of the programme
The purpose of the programme is to formalise qualifying informal traders of fruits and vegetables in the targeted communities in Gauteng Province in order to facilitate market access for both farmers and consumers.
Project participation criteria and requirements:
- Must be a South African
- 40% youth
- 50% female Adult
- 50% Male Adults
- 7% People living with disabilities
- Must be currently be engaged in an informal or formal retail business in any form in Township or as a street vendor
- Must reside in a township/community where they would want to open the store
Exclusion from participation
- Government Employees and related parties
- Political Office Bearer and related parties
- Employees of SOE and related parties
Programme Duration
12 Months full time participation by successful applicants
