Funded Youth Work Apprenticeships for London Youth
.Applications for Funded Youth Work Apprenticeships are now open!London Youth are fortunate to be working with CVC to utilise their apprenticeship levy to train and upskill youth workers, through fully funded apprenticeship training with a value of £4,500.
We are offering places to existing staff from our members, starting this March, to receive specialist support in achieving a Level 3 Youth Support Worker Qualification, a nationally recognised qualification from outstanding specialist training provider, UCAN, whilst remaining in employment.
There has been a steady decline in youth workers taking part in formal training in recent years however a huge increase in demand for specialist skills and knowledge to support young people. Youth workers on the apprenticeship will be given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of supporting young people, given the chance to put their learning into action and improve their delivery, while learning and sharing best practice with youth workers from across London.
We have specifically chosen the Level 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship as it will give the relevant skills, knowledge and behaviour needed for frontline delivery work. We are working with training providers UCAN to utilise their specialist knowledge of the youth sector, being able to provide flexibility to their learners and supporting organisations in developing apprentice learners.
We are also working with London Progression Collaboration, experts in supporting small and medium sized organisations in onboarding apprentices and providing ongoing training and support to line managers to best support their apprentices.
We have put together this information document which outlines the benefits, process and what taking part in an apprenticeship looks like as a learner and also a manager. We will be holding several information sessions with all tutors from the training provider with details below.
Deadline for applications is the Monday 20th February 2023 at 10am.
