Gauteng Free Learners Licence Project Test Date And Quiz – Due to an overwhelming response, phase 1 of the RECRUITMENT for Learners Licenses is NOW closed.
All Successful candidates will be notified via SMS about the next steps. Out of our 40,000 free learner licenses, 10,000 will be allocated to bikers licenses (Code 1). This will support the Last-Mile Delivery Project, connecting our youth to job opportunities.
We will be providing assistance with Drivers Licenses to ensure Gauteng is driving economic transformation, giving young individuals the chance to gain new skills and employment opportunities.
STEP 1: NOTIFICATION
» Successful candidates notified daily via SMS and WhatsApp. » The process can only be completed on WhatsApp.
Ensure you have access to free Wi-Fi zones at local libraries before proceeding.
Eligibility:
- Age 17-34, part of the TISH community,
- unemployed, South African residents residing in Gauteng province.
STEP 2: QUIZ AND SELECTION
→ Complete the Wrong Side of the Road Quiz with Junior Khanye.
» Look out for Whatsapp notifying you of the dates that the Quiz will be open
» Selection is on the first come, first serve basis in completing the Quiz (to the max of 40,000 participants)
STEP 3: DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT
The Department of Transport will make a booking on your behalf.
» Download the K53 App to prepare for success.
→ Achieve an 80% pass rate on practice tests before proceeding.
STEP 4: TEST DAY
» Await communication about your test date/time.
» Arrive at the testing center 1 hour before your test
» Bring necessary documents:
2x ID photos and proof of residence.
→ Make your own way to your preferred DLTC to complete your learner’s license.
(Stipend for transport will not be provided)
Test availability:
19 October 2023-28 February 2024.
STEP 05: SUCCESS
» Receive your learner’s license and take the next steps toward your driver’s license. > Stay tuned for Phase 2, where we’ll help you obtain your Driver License.
10,000 – Candidates will receive Code 1 (Biker Learner’s Licenses).
30,000 – Candidates will receive Code 2 and Code 3 licenses.
FAILURE TO ATTEND THE TEST, OR FAILING THE TEST, WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM FUTURE CAMPAIGNS.
