CONTRACT EXTENSION: PYEI PHASE IV EDUCATION ASSISTANT (EA)/ GENERAL SCHOOL ASSISTANT (GSA): 01 OCT-31 DEC 2023
The above matter refers.
Phase IV of Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) commenced on 01 February and is scheduled to end 30 September 2023 as per the contracts signed. This letter serves to inform you that the contract of the beneficiaries who are on the system as of 01 August 2023 is extended with three additional months, from 01 October to December 2023.
This extension is only applicable in Gauteng and is funded by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
The extension does not alter the category under which each EA/GSA has been placed against on the date he/she resumed duty.
Gross monthly stipend remains unchanged at R4081.44 per month for each full month worked. There will be a 1% deduction for UIF resulting in a net stipend of R4040.63.
The extension does not include the data allowance of R30 per month.
