Education required:
· Matric or Equivalent
· N6 or working towards completing S3 Diploma / Certificate Electrical Engineering
· Good understanding of electrical and electronic circuits
· Computer literate
· Driver’s and/or Motorbike License
Skills and Experience required:
· Experience in operating handheld tools
· Hands-on aptitude
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work under pressure
· Good communication skills
· Willing to help others
· Able to form good relations with peers, suppliers, and customers
· Good time management
· Clear Criminal record
What a working day will look like:
· Pre-Assessment checks of client vehicles & client yards
· Installations of new units into Client vehicles according to Globaltrack QA Standards
· Health Checks & repairs of existing units
· Soldering on PCBs and other electronic equipment
· Designing & Assembling electronics, small prototypes for bigger projects
· Execution of special Electronic/Engineering projects
· Assembling and Testing of Units
· Planning and Client liaison with regards to installations & repairs of new & existing units
· Ensuring a positive and excellent customer experience with regards to on-site installations
· Ensuring vehicle, stock & toolkit is well looked after, clean & in good working order
The ideal candidates will be responsible for applying specialist technical expertise and support in installing, testing, tuning, optimizing, diagnosing problems, repairing, upgrading and maintaining Globaltrack products. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a can-do attitude and pro-actively come up with solutions for problems that arise during the installation process.
