Gold SASSA card remains Active and Operational

In todays latest SASSA News – Even though there is a date of expiration printed on the gold payment card, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga has assuaged the concerns of grant recipients by reassuring them that the card is still legitimate and would continue to function normally.

“Beneficiaries must not panic or succumb to the hijacking by scammers and disseminating fake news that the card will expire in April 2023,” the SASSA branch in Mpumalanga said on Monday. “Scammers and circulating fake news that the card would expire in April 2023” is an example of fake news.

The Postbank, automated teller machines (ATMs), and shops are all places that accept the gold card.

Beneficiaries are strongly encouraged to furnish SASSA with information regarding their private bank accounts as an additional alternative for safe and easy payment. In due time, SASSA will let everyone know about any adjustments that have been made.

“Fraudsters who pretend to be SASSA officials and target old age people and people living with disability in their residents must be immediately reported to the local South African Police Service (SAPS),” SASSA said. “Fraudsters who pretend to be SASSA officials and target old age people and people living with disability in their residents must be reported immediately.”
