Gov. Diri Graces Bayelsa Youth Confab Grand Finale In Sampou
… says Bayelsa APC has rejected Timipre Sylva
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri this evening graced the grand finale of the Bayelsa Youth Confab in his country home, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the State.
Governor Diri in his charge to the youth said the Prosperity Government is youth-friendly and that accounts to why there are a lot of youth empowerment and skills acquisition programmes in the State.

The Governor also expressed his appreciation to the organisers of the Youth confab, stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected its candidate for the November 11 guber poll in the State.
“And listening to you, “encourages us who are working with you and for you. It encourages me that what we are doing is acceptable to the youths.
Rather than giving you drugs we are teaching you how to fish, rather than giving you arms, guns, we are giving you books, we are giving you skills. And that is why we have the Diri Skills Acquisition programme. That is why we are building Science and Technical Colleges.
Let me appreciate all of those who represented various Local Government Areas. It tells me that we have people who will take over from us.
APC in Bayelsa have rejected their candidate. APC in Bayelsa is in support of PDP in Bayelsa. And so, this election is lost and won,” Governor Diri said.
