How To Update Your SRD Grant Application
A change in your circumstances might require you to update your application for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant of R350. You can do this by following these steps.
How To Update Your SRD Grant Application
South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) grants R350 for Social Relief of Distress, however the applicant must provide accurate information when applying for the grant.
The SRD grant will run through March 2023, so all active applications or reapplications filed since April 2022 will be considered.
In the event that their circumstances have changed, beneficiaries are encouraged to update their personal information on their applications.
Here’s How To Update Your Grant Application
- Visit the Sassa website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za
- You can update your grant application by scrolling down.
- Click on “update existing application” and follow the instructions.
- Please enter both your ID number and your mobile number
- To send an SMS, click the “Send SMS” button.
- The instructions for updating your details will appear once you’ve signed in with a one-time password (OTP).
If their circumstances change or if errors need to be corrected, beneficiaries can update their screening questionnaires on the Sassa website at any time
It is imperative that applicants update their information since the Agency will not be able to process their application if they do not do so.
According to Sassa, if your application was denied based on your existing application details, you should file an appeal for each month that your application was denied.
If your application has been rejected, you should file an appeal within 90 days. Applicants will be notified if their appeal was successful or not after the application has been reconsidered.
