KNEC Registration Guidelines for January 2024 IAL Exams in Nairobi

REGISTRATION OF PRIVATE CANDIDATES FOR THE JANUARY 2024 PEARSON- EDEXCEL INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATIONS

To all private candidates registering for the January 2024 Pearson-Edexcel International examination within Nairobi: Registration for the Pearson-Edexcel International Advanced Level (IAL), exams in January 2024 will be open from September 4th to October 13th, 2023.

Kindly note that submitting a registration request after the deadline will result in late fees being charged for both Knec and Pearson Edexcel International. Please ensure to submit your request before the deadline to avoid any additional charges.

Requirements:

Kenyan citizens Candidates Must:

• Seek authorization from the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Examinations Council to take the examination.
• Have both an original and a photocopy of your National ID or Passport.

NB: Please note that Birth Certificates will not be accepted as ID documents,
Foreign Nationals Candidates Must:

Submit both originals and certified photocopies of their Passports or Alien IDs.
Have passports with an entry visa, from the Department of Immigration Services valid for the entire duration of the examination.

In addition to the identity credentials, all candidates must provide two passport-sized photos.

Those who wish to register MUST DO SO at:

New Mitihani House, Foreign Examinations Office, 1st floor.
South C, off Red Cross Road.

Candidates are required to make two separate fees deposits to the banks listed below, one in Pounds for the Pearson-Edexcel International Examinations fees and one in Kenyan Shillings for the KNEC registration and administration fees, and submit deposit slips to the KNEC office, foreign examinations section.

Pearson-Edexcel International Examination fees are payable in Sterling Pounds (GBP) at the following bank.

KNEC registration and administration fees of Kshs 21,500.00, should be deposited in the following KNEC collection Bank Accounts under: – “Other Exams”.

NB: The KNEC registration and administration fees are inclusive of Supervision, Invigilation, venue, and courier expenses.

All fees are subject to review either by KNEC or Pearson Edexcel International where applicable.
