What is the program about?
Kwapreneur is an empowerment and development program for Kwara-based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises focused on enabling innovative business models and ideas to succeed. Kwapreneur aims to enable young Kwara entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into full-fledged business models ready for investment when the apply via kwapreneur.com Portal.
What is the benefit for my startup?
The Kwapreneur Accelerator program is designed to equip startups with the skills, support and resources to achieve the following objectives:
- Secure funding.
- Refine product-market fit.
- Effective book-keeping.
- Growth hacking and marketing.
Can I apply via kwapreneur.com Portal though I am Kwaran but live outside Kwara State?
Yes, you can apply. However your business that will benefit from this program should be based in Kwara.
Who is eligible to apply via kwapreneur.com Portal?
- Kwara owned Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are operating in Kwara State, or Kwara Indigenes, physically based in Kwara with innovative ideas that are scalable.
- Applicants between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- Minimum of SSCE certificate.
How many startups will be selected?
300 MSMEs based in Kwara will undergo a two (2) weeks virtual training, capacity building and advisory services to maximise inclusion and support MSMEs businesses owned and run by Kwarans.
Are there any interest in the loan?
No, the loan is interest-free with a moratorium period of 3 months and a loan repayment period of 18 months (inclusive of the moratorium period).
What are the expected activities in the acceleration program?
All selected participants will undergo a 2 weeks capacity building, coaching and advisory workshop designed to equip businesses with the digital skills and support to significantly improve their financial and operational outcomes. At completion of the training, each participant can access the Kwapreneur loan.
