KWAZULU-NATAL AMAFA AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE HAVE THE FOLLOWING INTENT TO ENROL CADETS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS FOR THE PERIOD OF 24 MONTHS.
1. HERITAGE ADMINISTRATION
– 1X Head of Administration and Secretariat Office
– 1x Registry Office
– 1x Supply Chain management
– 1x Umuzi Bush Camp
– 1X Corporate Service
Requirements
- A 3-year Degree/Diploma in the following fields
- Financial Management/ Auditing/Accounting/Office
- Management/Human Resources / Administration
Purpose
– To provide administrative support in key areas within the Head Office
x HERITAGE PRACTITIONER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
REQUIREMENTS
A 3-year degree/diploma in the field of heritage, history, archaeology,geology, architecture, anthropology, political science, sociology and other related fields.
PURPOSE
– Provision of heritage services to the organisation.
6X HERITAGE TOURISM IN THE FOLLOWING HERITAGE SITES
– King Shaka Interpretive Centre – KwaDukuza
– Isandlwana Interpretive Centre
– Spioenkop Battlefield in Ladysmith
– Shiyane Interpretive Centre – Rorkesdrift
– KwaZulu Cultural Museum at Ulundi
– Umgungundlovu Multi-Media Centre
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in tourism, hospitality management, nature conservation; or Matric
with history and tourism as passed subjects.
PURPOSE
– To provide tour guiding and other tourism related functions among the
heritage sites
14 X HERITAGE MAINTENANCE CADETS

PURPOSE
– To provide applied and scientific research related to the core functions of Amafa
THESE POSITIONS ARE STATIONED AT OUR VARIOUS HERITAGE SITES AND INTERPRETIVE
CENTRES – APPLICANTS MUST BE RESIDE WITHIN THE VICINITY OF SITES.
