The Post Office announced that they will no longer be distributing the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant. This means millions of the grant’s beneficiaries will now find a new way to collect their money.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has assured grant beneficiaries that they will still have several outlets they can use to collect their R350 grant.
Grant beneficiaries will have the option to collect their money at Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers and USave stores. Sassa has assured grant beneficiaries they will not be charged for collecting their grants at these outlets.
The grant can also be paid into your bank account. However, can one use another person’s bank account for R350 grant payment?
Sassa says to avoid any possible fraudulent, activities this is not allowed. They recommended that grant beneficiaries should rather use their own bank account or cellphone number.
