On today’s latest Npower news : The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N2.12 billion for the award of contract for the design, development, deployment, and management of the National Social Investment Management System for the National Social Investment Programme.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, disclosed that the money to be used to take care of the issues of N-Power Programme, N-SIP Programme, National Cash Transfer Programme, as well as National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme.
The Prospective Batch C applicants of the N-Power programme have lamented over the delay in releasing of names of the shortlisted candidates to be Enrolled for the scheme. Recall that following the disengagement of two batches of beneficiaries of the Npower in June and July, 2020 the federal government open the Recruitment portal to enroll a new batch C starting from July 26, 2020. 8 Months after, not have been said regarding the commence of the scheme.
The Prospective Npower Nexit Beneficiaries on the other hand, released a new statement, stating that they will be Occupying Nigerian Street On Match 8 to demand quick implementation of their exit package. According to the latest discussion circulating on the Volunteers various discussion forum, protests will continue until their demands are met. They said we will not succumb to their delaying tactics which have left us redundant for over six months now. We will remain on the streets until FG met our demands.
