MEC FRAZER ATTENDS COSAS KZN WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Ms Mbali Frazer, delivered a keynote address at the Women’s Month Commemoration hosted by the Congress of South African Students (COSAS) today, in Clermont, Pinetown District.
Today’s event was aimed at motivating young women and encourage them to participate and contribute in programmes that are meant to develop youth and society at large.

Addressing dozens of girls attending the event, MEC Frazer told them that they must never be afraid to take any position of responsibility if they are given the opportunity. She added that it is critical that the inclusion of women’s voices at decision-making tables is continously advocated at all levels. Furthermore, she said, all government policies must not only just but also gender-sensitive and responsive. “During the struggle for freedom in our country, women played a very crucial role towards the liberation of all South Africans, it is now your time to take the baton and rise for a bright future of our country,” said MEC Frazer to the packed hall.
She further encouraged young women to prioritise education and learn from those who have walked the path.
