Deadline: January 23, 2020
Applications are now open for NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI) 2020 for US and Puerto Rico-based arts Advocates (funded)
The NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute is an intensive, hands-on training that builds advocacy skills and knowledge about the role of government and public institutions in the arts field.
The institute begins with a virtual preparatory curriculum and culminates with a three-day onsite training in Washington, D.C., where Congressional Staff and experienced arts advocates will impart skills to enhance efforts on behalf of Latinx arts and cultures.
The advocacy approach for the Advocacy Leadership Institute is informed by a Latinx perspective, but the tools and resources shared during the program may be utilized broadly by artists and cultural workers from all communities.
