IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT APPLYING:

FIRST TIME USERS
If this is the first time you are using our on-line application to apply, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password.  Applicants are prohibited from using anyone else’s already established account.

APPLY FROM YOUR OWN COMPUTER
Nassau County Civil Service Commission strongly recommends that you do not apply for Civil Service examinations from your workplace computer.  This is because applicants who have filed electronically from their place of employment have reported that they have encountered fee payment and/or application submission issues.

APPLICATION RECEIVED, PAYMENT CONFIRMATION, AND APPLICATION STATUS EMAILS

If you properly submit an online application for examination through this website, you will receive all three (3) of the following emails:
1. Within minutes, an automated email from governmentjobs.com confirming application receipt will be sent to the email address used to create your online applicant account. Accordingly, you must update your account every time your email address changes.
2. Within minutes, an automated email from payconnexion.com confirming credit card payment will be sent to the email address inputted in the payment form (not applicable if you filed using the Fee Waiver option.)
3. Approximately 7 days after the filing deadline, a disposition email stating if your application has been approved, rejected, or conditionally approved will be sent from the Nassau County Civil Service Commission via governmentjobs.com to the address used to create your online applicant account.
NOTE: This message is also available in your application account. You should check for messages in your account regarding the status of your application every day. You can log into your account by clicking the Sign In  icon located on the upper-right of this webpage.
