NSFA 2023 BRAZIL’S EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS (PEC-G) AND GRADUATE STUDENTS (PEC-PG) SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund is inviting Namibian applicants to apply for the 2023 Brazil’s Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) and Graduate Students (PEC-PG) Scholarships.
Brazil’s Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) is offered under five (5) themes:
Please note the exchange program is not a scholarship
- Education (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Languages, and Social
Sciences). - Health Sciences (Physiotherapy).
- Engineering (Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Marine, Water, Chemical,
Geotechnical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Mining and Process). - Agricultural Sciences (Biotechnology, Conservation, Food Sciences & Technology).
- Environmental Sciences (Biodiversity, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Sciences, Environmental, Bioinformatics, Taxonomy, GIS, Anatomy, Sawmilling Technology, Entomology and Genetics).
Requirements for Undergraduate Students (PEG-G)
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
• Not be Brazilian citizens and not be born to Brazilian parents;
• Obtain the Celpe-Bras Certificate. PEG -G applicants from countries where there is no CelpeBras must take the exam in Brazil, after participating in a Portuguese course offered by a University appointed once the selection process is completed.
• Be at least 18 and preferably up to 23 years old;
• Have a high school average grade of at least 60% (C);
• Have attended high school in a country other than Brazil;
• Present proof of sufficient funds to afford your maintenance in Brazil throughout the course. All applicants must have a sponsor who can transfer financial resources to the student regularly. Even though the vacancies are free.
• Commit to returning to their country of origin upon graduation. PEC-G graduate students can only retrieve their academic documents at the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate where they applied for the Program.
Requirements for Graduate Students (PEC-PG)
• Not be Brazilian citizens and not be born to Brazilian parents;
• Obtain the Celpe-Bras Certificate. PEG -G applicants from countries where there is no CelpeBras must take the exam in Brazil, after participating in a Portuguese course offered by a University appointed once the selection process is completed;
• Obtain an undergraduate or Master’s degree;
• Present a research project approved by a Brazilian University; and
• For former PEC-G students should present proof of remaining in their country of origin for at least two years after graduation.
Restriction:
• Existing NSFAF Postgraduate level beneficiaries may not apply.
Application Procedure For NSFAF Brazils Exchange Program 2023 for Namibia Students
To apply for;
• PEC- G: visit the Brazilian Embassy and fill in the application form and submit all documents required. full details of the scholarships and application form are available on or by sending an email to the following email address: [email protected]
• PEC-PG: candidates must submit their application solely online, according to the requirements of the ongoing Call Notice.
