NSFAS Independent Appeals Tribunal Discuss Students Appeals
In todays latest NSFAS News – NSFAS Independent Appeals Tribunal met for its first sitting on 13 March 2023, NSFAS Officials took the Tribunal through a system walk-through in order to provide the members with a better understanding of how student appeals are processed.
The purpose of the Appeals Tribunal is to provide effective management of appeals from students whose applications for funding have been rejected, or discontinued funding, in the case of continuing students.
This is to ensure that NSFAS responds to appeals in a way that contributes to the NSFAS’s supportive and fair funding environment, and is consistent with the principles of fairness, equal opportunity and natural justice.
