In todays latest NSFAS News – The 2023 National Student Financial Aid Scheme received almost 1 million bursary applications. Many bursary applicants will soon learn if they were sponsored for the current academic year.

Nsfas has announced when new bursary applicants will receive their application status. The financial aid scheme promptly approved some bursary applications.

Nsfas will notify bursary applicants on Monday, February 6, 2023. Applicants will learn their 2023 Nsfas status.

Institutions will get the Non-SASSA and returning student funding list on February 6, 2023.
Nsfas stated that non-South African Social Security Agency candidates and returning students must prove financial and academic eligibility. Institutions and banks help Nsfas verify this information.

One cohort of students was funded. Sassa funds are provisionally approved when students apply.

“Nsfas funded First-Time Entering (FETN) Sassa applications immediately upon application. Nsfas said these students received their application status immediately.

Sassa grant beneficiaries meet the financial eligibility criteria for Nsfas financing, which allows them to conditionally accept funding applications. After enrolling, students will get money.

Nsfas provides a full bursary to students. This includes full tuition, housing, and allowances.

Students who are denied Nsfas can appeal. The financial aid scheme’s 20 February 2023 deadline must be met for appeals.
