NSFAS News – How to Track Your NSFAS Appeal
NSFAS News – Have you applied for student funding through NSFAS and had an application rejected? There is still a chance for you to appeal your unsuccessful application. Here is how you can do so and track your appeal.
If you are among students that have had an unsuccessful NSFAS application and submitted a NSFAS appeal, here is a step by step guide on how you can track your application appeal.
How To Track Your NSFAS Appeal
- Log into your myNSFAS account on www.nsfas.org.za
- Click the ‘Track Funding Progress’ option
- Check the application progress tabs
- You will be able to track the progress of your appeal via your MyNSFAS account
Once you’ve submitted your NSFAS appeal, you might find that your NSFAS status is ‘Active Appeal’. This means you have been provisionally approved for funding and that your funding is pending final approval.
Students that have been approved for funding, will have their status now reflect as: ‘Approved for funding subject to registration’, and for those who have been rejected for funding, the status will reflect as ‘Application unsuccessful’.
NSFAS provides bursaries to individuals who plan on studying or are applying to study at one of South Africa’s 26 Public Universities or 50 TVET Colleges.
NSFAS bursaries cover more than just your tuition fees. NSFAS will also cover your registration, accommodation, transport, books and other student needs.
