Over 100 000 GDE 2024 Applications received in an Hour – Gauteng Education MEC
According to the Gauteng Education MEC Mr Matome Chiloane said that they have successfully processed over 100 000 Grade 1 & 8 applications within the first hour of launching the 2024 Online Admissions without glitches.
The Gauteng Department of Education has officially opened the application window for grade 1 and 8 school admissions. Parents must complete the entire application procedure in one sitting after they begin the online application process.

- Register Parent/Guardian Details
- Register Home Address Details
- Register Learner Details
- Apply to a minimum of 3 schools or a maximum of 5 schools
- Uploading documents to System OR Submitting documents at Schools within 7 days of applying
