Premier Panyaza Lesufi To handover Thousands of Appointment Offers to Job Seekers
You will recall that the Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA) partnered with MerSETA to launch a solar installation training program aimed at providing technical and practical training to approximately 6 000 young people in the Gauteng province over the next three years. The applications for this training program opened on Monday, 8 May 2023, and closed on Thursday, 8 June 2023.
All roads lead to Orlando Stadium on Thursday, 27 July, where Premier Panyaza Lesufi will handover thousands of appointment offers to job seekers in partnership with merSETA to selected 6000 applicants.

This training programme is a significant step towards addressing the skills gap in the renewable energy sector, which is rapidly growing in South Africa.
The Gauteng government believes that by empowering the youth with the necessary skills, they will be able to contribute to the skilled workforce of the country.
Through this training programme, young people will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a rapidly changing economy that requires new and innovative solutions to address the challenges facing the province and country as a whole.
