PSIP Cohort 6 (VI) Shortlisted Candidates And Interview.The Public Service Commission (PSC) is pleased to inform all those who applied for the Cohort 6 Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) internship opportunities advertised on 25th July, 2023, that interviews for the shortlisted candidates are scheduled to take place from Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th November, 2023 starting at 8:00 am.

According to Commission Secretary Dr. Simon Rotich, Over 16,000 Candidates Shortlisted for PSIP Cohort VI and all shortlisted candidates will be required to carry their Original Identification Card, Academic and Professional Certificates to their respective interview centres.All the shortlisted candidates are required to have with them the following original documents for reference:

  • National Identity Card/Passport; and
  • Academic and Professional Certificates.

PSC will be onboarding the largest number of interns under PSIP for the first time since the programme was inaugurated in 2019.

This follows a directive by President William Ruto early this year, to increase the number of candidates joining the programme to benefit more young people graduating from universities.

In total the Commission received 50,269 applicants and only 16, 625 made it to the interviews scheduled for next week. Successful candidates will be deployed in various Ministries, State Departments, Corporations and Public Universities early next year.

All the interns will be working under PSC trained mentors and coaches, tasked with nurturing and shaping their career growth.

This 6th Cohort will bring a total number of graduates who have benefitted from the programme to over 21,000 since the Commission started the Public Service Internship Programme five years ago.
