PYEI Extends Contract for Education Assistant (EA) & General School Assistant (GSA)
CONTRACT EXTENSION: PYEI PHASE IV EDUCATION ASSISTANT (EA) GENERAL SCHOOL ASSISTANT (GSA) 01 OCT – 31 DEC 2023
1. The above matters refers
2. Phase IV of Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) commenced on 01 February and is scheduled to end 30 September 2023 as per contract signed. Although some of the beneficiaries joined the Programme at different times during this period.
3. The letter serves to inform you that the contract of the beneficiaries who are on the system as of 1st August 2023 is extended with three additional months as from 01 October 2023 – December 2023.
4. This extension is only applicable in Gauteng and is funded by Gauteng Provincial Government.
5. The extension does not alter the category under which each EA/GSA has been placed against on the database he/she on the date of resumed duty.
6. Gross monthly stipend remains unchanged of R4081.44 per month for each full month worked. There will be a 1% deduction for UIF resulting in a net stipend of R404.63
7. The extension does not include include the data allowance.
