SASSA News – March SRD R350 Payment Yet to be Uploaded On System
In todays latest SASSA News – Even though millions of people have been approved for the R350 grant, many of them have not received their money.
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) was created to assist unemployed individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. In August 2021 the grant was reintroduced and scheduled to end in March 2022.
The grant was recently extended for a further 12 months by President Cyril Ramphosa and will now come to an end in March 2023. Many grant recipients who were approved for payment for the R350 grant have still not received their money for a number of months.
Sassa explained “your bank account is not yet verified. Once that is done, you will receive all your outstanding payments in order.” Sassa has stated that march payments have not been uploaded to the system yet.

Sassa SRD grant recipients can also choose to collect their SRD grants from a Post Office branch near them.
