Latest news on sassa r350 grant – According to Sassa, all SRD grant beneficiaries will receive payments but many are still waiting. Well, here is why the SRD grant payments are delayed.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) stated that over 10 million people are approved for the Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress(SRD) grant. But, unfortunately, some beneficiaries were not able to access their payments.
Sassa explained that there are a number of reasons why various recipients’ payments are delayed.
Here Are Some Of The Possible Reasons Why Your SRD Grant Payment Is Being Delayed:
1. Incorrect Name or Surname
When processing applications, Sassa verifies the applicant’s personal information, such as identification number (ID), name and surname.
The agency noted that beneficiaries may have gotten married over the course of the grant payment cycle. If information, such as surname, has been changed as a result of marriage, this could either delay or prevent payment of their grant.
2. Referred Link Risk Mobile
Applicants may meet all the criteria for the SRD grant, however, if they have received a message with “Referred Link Risk Mobile”, which means the phone number was used in a fraudulent application.
In order to handle this situation, applicants should immediately contact the South African Fraud Prevention Services (SAFPS). Once the issue has been resolved, they may email [email protected] with proof that they have cleared the problem.
3. Beneficiary Of Other Support
The agency also verifies the applicant’s Identity number against other databases, such as the South African Revenue Service (SARS), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
If the applicant’s ID number matches on one of the above-mentioned databases, it may indicate that they are benefiting from NSFAS, UIF or that they are employed according to SARS.
If the applicant disagrees with Sassa’s decision, they are welcome to apply for reconsideration.
