SAUS Calls On NSFAS To Address MyNSFAS Portal Issues

In todays latest NSFAS Updates: Students who have applied for funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme have been experiencing difficulties accessing the myNSFAS portal system and this has prompted a response from the South African Union of Students (SAUS). Here is what they have had to say.

National student body, South African Union of Students (SAUS) issued a statement on Monday saying that students are experiencing issues when navigating through their myNSFAS Portal profiles.

According to the statement, these challenges ranged from student’s being unable to access the NSFAS system in order to determine their funding, to being unable to submit their appeal applications.

The student organisation further states that following their efforts to contact NSFAS, the bursary scheme reassured them that they are aware of the systems glitch and are working towards resolving it.

The fixing of the system could momentarily impact access to the portal, as the system might be rebooted and as such will be offline for several hours.

Following this, the National Student Financial Aid (NSFAS) issued a response on their social media platforms on Tuesday, stating that the myNSFAS Portal would be offline until further notice due to high traffic volume and that they are currently conducting a systems upgrade.

NSFAS further stated that all affected applicants, including those who have appealed their application outcomes, are reminded that they will be granted additional time to do so when the system is back online.
