Scam Alert – Presidential Economic Stimulus Initiative (PESI) Applications for South Africans
SCAM ALERT: The South African Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) is warning all prospective bidders for the Presidential Economic Stimulus Initiative (PEST) not to fall victims for criminals posing as Departmental officials, who are requesting applicants to pay for the processing of their PEST applications.
The Department has become aware of criminals phoning bidders for the PEST, informing them that they have been approved, and asking them to deposit sums of money into bank accounts.
The Department has not as yet finalised the process of the Presidential Economic Stimulus Initiative.
Please note that no payment is required for your application to be processed or approved, and the Department will communicate with the selected bidders by official email.
