SSC CHSL application form 2020 filling process has been extended till December 19. Along with this, the dates for payment of SSC CHSL application fee have also been extended by Staff Selection Commission. Registered candidates will now be able to pay the application fee latest by December 21 (in online mode) and December 24 (in offline mode).
The application process has been extended considering the difficulties being faced by the candidates in filling the online form due to heavy load on servers. The SSC CHSL application form was released on November 6.
Candidates can fill the CHSL application form on the official website of the Commision. Candidates can fill the SSC CHSL online form in two parts – registration and application. The SSC CHSL application fee is Rs 100. Before starting with the application process, candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the SSC CHSL eligibility 2020-21.
The SSC CHSL tier-I 2021 exam will be conducted from April 12-27. SSC CHSL tier-II 2021 exam date has not been announced yet.

Step 2: Upload Scanned Photo & Signature
Next, candidates need to upload their scanned coloured photograph and signature in JPEG format as per the specifications mentioned below:

On clicking the button, One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent on candidates’ mobile number or email ID. Candidates need to enter the OTP and click on Submit. On clicking the button, the registration form will be submitted successfully and a registration ID will be generated on the screen. The login password will be sent to candidates on their registered email ID. Candidates must note down the ID and password and keep it for future reference.
Step 3: Fill SSC CHSL Application Form
Once the registration is successfully done, candidates will be redirected to the application window. Next, candidates need to click on the Apply button and start filling the online application form of SSC CHSL 2020-21. It may be noted that the details filled in the registration form such as personal details will be auto-filled in the application form. Some of the details to be filled by candidates in the application form are educational qualification, three preferences of exam centre (in order of priority), etc.
Step 4: Pay SSC CHSL Application Fee
Candidates can pay SSC CHSL 2020-21 application fee in online or offline mode. Application fee in offline mode can be paid through SBI challan. Application fee in online mode can be paid through BHIM UPI/internet banking or by using credit/debit card of Visa/Mastercard/Maestro/RuPay.
Women of all categories and male candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from the application fee.

- Select the permanent state
- Enter registered email ID/ mobile number

Some of the important points that candidates should keep in mind regarding SSC CHSL online applications are:
- Candidates should submit the online applications much before the last date of the application process to avoid any hassle due to heavy website traffic
- Few important details such as Aadhaar number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, etc need to be entered twice during the application process to avoid mistakes
- Applications received without the payment of exam fee get rejected
- Candidates who are already registered on the official website of SSC can skip steps the first two steps of the application process mentioned above
