STUDENTS OF DOUYE DIRI SKILL ACQUISITION AND EMPOWERMENT CENTRE  SILGA CONSTITUENCY 4 RECEIVES ENTREPRENEURSHIP LECTURE

Bayelsa State News – Over 814 students under going various skills in the Diri Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Centre has received a robust Entrepreneurship Lectures series 1 as they prepare towards their graduation.

This lecture is aimed at helping the trainees develop business capacity in order to make the most of the craft they have learned within the five months of their stays in the centre.

The Entrepreneurship Lecture was delivered by a renowned Lagos based Entrepreneurship Coach, Pst. Ebi Emarah.

In his lecture, he told the students to be unique in their various chosen skills. “As a Entrepreneur you should always think of making your product unique that will give you a competitive advantage in the market” he said. According to him, for your product to be among the best seller, you must add a special feature on your product to make it different from other competitors.

He told the students that there are two sets of Entrepreneur in the society, those looking for money and those that money are looking for. ” If you are looking for money as Entrepreneur, it will be hard for you to expand, but if money is looking for you, you will expand your business fast” , he said. The business Coach also stated that money can look for you as an entrepreneur if you identify the felt need and a problem to solve will you product, noting that so long as you keep on solving people need with your unique product, money will key on looking for you.

In his lecture, he encourage the students to have a business vision that will enable them to project where their business will be in the next couple of years. This will enable them to be in business and also expand their businesses by taking their products to other parts of the country. According to Pst. Ebi, it is a good thing to know that the students have acquired the required skills in their various chosen field but they can only excel when they applied entrepreneurial knowledge to their skills. He further thanks the organizer of the skill acquisition centre, Hon. Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin for taking poverty out of these hundreds of persons in Bayelsa State.

In her speech, the Award winning Director, Centre for women Development SILGA constituency 4, Hon. Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin, thanked the Miracle governor, Sen. Douye Diri, his able deputy governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewrhudjakpo and the First Lady of Bayelsa States, Dr. Mrs. Gloria Diri for giving her the opportunity to serve. She also thanked the business Coach, Pst Ebi, for his excellent entrepreneurial lecture. She encourage all the students to combine the skills the have acquired and the entrepreneurial knowledge in order to excel in their chosen skills, stressing that the centre will produce MADE IN BAYELSA PRODUCTS to other parts of the country.
