Teach for Liberia Fellowship 2020 Application
Teach For Liberia addresses the educational crisis in Liberia by recruiting passionate college graduates/professionals, who we provide with tailored, high-quality training for placement in rural and urban primary schools for two years.
TFL alumni go on to become school, district, and community leaders, advocates, and entrepreneurs who work together with other stakeholders to change a system that leaves so many Liberian children behind. TFL is working to reach 125,000 Liberian children by 2025- greatly improving their life prospects through placing 700 high quality teachers in 90 local schools and communities.
WHAT WE DO?
Recruit:
High achieving young professionals with a minimum first degree who display a long term commitment to uplifting Liberia
Train:
Fellows attend a pre-service institute to learn the relevant skills and methods to be exceptional teachers
Place:
Fellows are placed in high needs schools in underserved communities who share our vision to advance student outcomes
Ongoing Support:
Fellows receive regular professional development, coaching, and attend workshops to continually better their teaching practice.
ELIGIBILITY
For persons interested in applying for the Teach For Liberia (TFL) Fellowship. Applicants must be young adults (maximum 40 years old) who have completed a university degree program and speak English fluently.
TEACH FOR LIBERIA FELLOWSHIP DOCUMENTS
1)Two letters of recommendation (An academic reference, and a professional reference)
2) A signed and sealed copy of your University transcript and diploma.
