The aim of this Tech Bridge Make Africa Tech Challenge 2020 is to invest in young Africans who can solve Africa’s problems using technology and build global solutions in the 16 weeks program.
The challenge provides a collaborative platform where solutions can be built to Africa’s problem by Africans. You will learn how to build high-scale solutions through mentorship from senior developers in global firms and be connected to job opportunities (remote or in-residence), or be able to build your own startup company with support after the training.
Make Africa Tech Challenge BENEFITS
- Top 5 applicants will obtain full scholarship worth $1200 (480,000 Naira)while 30 others (especially University students {postgraduate and undergraduate}) will receive up to 70% partial scholarship for the course of their choice.
- Student loan will be available to willing participants by our partner banks.
- You will be provided with sufficient data to learn weekly.
Successful participants will receive certification from the University of Ibadan. - Successful participants will gain job opportunity (remote or in-residence) in global firms immediately after the training.
- Successful participants, who build scalable solutions during the challenge, will be supported with funds, mentorship and other resources needed to kick start their startup.
Requirement
- You must be a Graduate, Working Class or an Undergraduate willing to learn rigorously for at least 20 hours per week.
- You are willing to pay back the student loan within a 15 Months timeline.
- You must have a laptop, good internet connection and access to power supply for your participation.
- To be part of the top 5 applicant to obtain full scholarship, you must do a one minute video stating what problem you intend to solve with your skill if selected, then obtain the highest likes or retweet on twitter with #makeafrica
