INVITATION OF ATHLETES FOR TEAMS SELECTION TRIAL FOR THE WA U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS, WORLD ATHLETICS RELAYS, 22′ CAA AFRICAN SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND CAA REGION II ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
I am directed by the President, Hon. (Engr.) Ibrahim Shehu Gusau Ph.D, FNSE, FNCS to convey the compliment of the Executive Board of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria to you and officially invite all Athletes and officials to the teams selection trial.
We at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) are determined to do our best to get our athletes up to speed in their preparations towards successful outings this year.
Notes all Covid-19 protocols will be strictly adhere to in order to ensure the safety of all Athletes and officials during the trials.
In view of this all Athletes and Officials should come with his/her facemask/face shield and Hand sanitizer before any Athletes and officials can be allowed to participate in the Trials
With the Tokyo Olympic Games fast approaching and the peculiarity of dates for competitions changing at short notices, we are pleased to announce the AFN TRIALS – MEET Scheduled to hold in PORT-HARCOURT RIVERS STATE.
This is a Pre-National Trials designed to select Nigerian Athletes that will be representing the Country at the forthcoming WA U20 Championships (Nairobi Kenya), World Athletics Relays (Silesia Poland), 22nd CAA African Senior Athletics Championships (Algiers Algeria), And CAA Region II Championships, (Kaduna Nigeria).
Therefore, every State/Clubs/Institutions with eligible Athletes are to send their entries to our official email: [email protected]. on or before 24th March, 2021.
As submission of entries on the venue will not be considered.
Date: Monday & Tuesday 29th -30th March, 2021. Venue: Port-Harcourt Rivers State, Nigeria
Events: All events excluding: Pole Vault, 3000m, Steeplechase, Combined Events, Marathon.
