The World Energy Council Developing Countries Scheme 2024

The World Energy Congress reflects the Council’s core values of openness and inclusivity, uniting countries, businesses and communities of all shapes and sizes.

The Developing Countries Scheme enables and supports the participation of up to 250 delegates from developing countries in joining the conversations and making the connections that will build better energy futures for billions of better lives on one healthy planet.

The Organising Committee of the 26th World Energy Congress is committed to enabling participation from across the world and has put together an exclusive package to support delegates from selected developing countries. If your country is included in the list below, you will be entitled to:

  • A complimentary delegate pass – worth up to €4,000
  • Complimentary hotel accommodation for up to 5 nights
  • Partial compensation of up to €750 for flights, visa etc.

Please note that places are strictly limited and application is no guarantee of selection. The Organising Committee works with the Council’s Global Secretariat to identify suitable delegates from each country using a set of selection criteria. If selected, delegates will be given a date by which to finalise their registration in order to secure their place.
