Transnet Trainee Yard Official Opportunities for South Africans
Applicants are invited who are prepared to successfully undergo Yard Official duties training (theoretical and practical) and be certified to work independently as a Yard Official.
To place and clear wagons and locomotives; compile, receive and dispatch train- to pass the information on in order to deliver wagons/trains at their required destination according to a prescribed set of rules safely.
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12
- Be prepared to successfully undergo Yard Official duties training (theoretical and practical) and be certified to work independently as a Yard Official. Other Requirements
- Be prepared to undergo periodic medical surveillance and safety behavioural risk assessments during the selection process and every 12 months.
- Physical hearing, vision, mental, fitness (to be verified through medical tests and related safety behavioural risk assessments)
