UIF Payment Verification Process To Prevent Fraudulent Claims
People who pay into the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) are eligible for a variety of benefits if they ever find themselves out of work. Illness leave, maternity leave, restricted work time, adoption leave, and parental leave are all covered under these policies.
Fund officials said they’ve reinstated a verification process that should significantly cut down on fraud and corruption using UIF services.
Payment Verification Process Prior To Payment
The Unemployment Insurance Fund has introduced the Payment Verification Process before money is released into the bank accounts of claimants.
This step has been introduced to prevent fraudulent claims.
The verification process will unfortunately delay the release of payment into claimant’s bank account with 5 to 10 days after the payment is approved. However, we wish to assure claimants that efforts are made to fast track this process so that they won’t have to wait for too long.
We wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
