UNEB news today – PS, The Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Uganda & UNEB officials Visit UNEB Printery.
The Permanent Secretary (PS), Ministry of Education and Sports Ms. KettyLamaro has paid a courtesy call to UNEB to familiarize herself with the undertakings of the Assessment Board. She visited along with other Senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The PS noted that assessment is a very critical step in the education cycle because it enables the system to establish if the teaching and learning actually transpired according to the prescribed curriculum. She applauded UNEB for consistently delivering on its mandate even in the most challenging times of epidemics like COVID-19 and Ebola.
The PS was taken around UNEB’s State of the Art multi-purpose Printery that has a set of new printing equipment including a digital printer that has the capacity to print high quality personalized certificates and slips at a high speed.
The other newly installed equipment include the Colour PerfectaPrinter that can print certificates massively, at a rate of 16,000 copies per hour; and the Hollogram Numbering Machine for serializing and fixing security features on the certificates.
UNEB ED, Mr. Dan Odongo notes that the new printing equipment will enable the Board to print the results slips and certificates on time and to uphold the quality, integrity and security of the UNEB Academic documents.
The PS and her team were also taken around the new UNEB building in Kymbogo that is due for completion.
