Unisa Latest News on How NSFAS Allowances Will Be Disbursed
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has recently announced that it will make changes to it how it disburses NSFAS allowances. Here is everthing you need to know about these changes.
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has recently confirmed that higher education payment administrator, Intellimali, will be the administrative means through which they disburse NSFAS allowances.
This serves as a confirmation that all NSFAS-funded student allowances, whose names were confirmed by NSFAS, were paid by Intellimali.
The university has urged qualifying students to check the Intellimali portal for confirmation of paid allowances. Students have also been informed to direct all queries to Mr Isaac Mabena at [email protected]
In April earlier this year, Unisa had initially announced that they made changes in the manner in which NSFAS allowances would be paid out for students funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.
At the time, the university stated that they would no longer be paying the allowances through intellimali. Adding that they would not renew their contractual agreement with the payment administrator.
However, this seems to have changed and students are strongly advised to keep track of any other related changes.
